My name is Leigh. I have a pretty big heart and that heart lives in a lot of people, places, and things. When I moved to Chicago, I realized just how vibrant the craft community was here. It caught me hook, line, and sinker. I’ve doodled and made things since I was little. For holidays, I made greeting cards to give to family members, always writing “A Leighmark Card” on the back. In August 2005 I was inspired to make cards so that I could to contribute to The Sampler to get my very own Sampler. My craft-making addiction escalated to me doing craft fairs and even setting up two craft fairs called South Union Arts Market at South Union Arts, the music/art space that I work at. This blog is about the crafts that I make as well as the artists and crafters that inspire me.
